Justice Minister Reviews Year-Long Campaign Progress Amid Judicial Reforms

Phnom Penh: On the afternoon of January 10, 2025, Koeut Rith, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice, convened a meeting to evaluate the results of the one-year implementation of two significant campaigns aimed at enhancing the efficiency of case resolution in courts and monitoring irregularities within the judicial system. 

The meeting, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Rith, included participation from leaders and civil servants of the Ministry of Justice, as well as officials from trial courts and associated prosecution organizations at all levels across the nation.

During his remarks, Deputy Prime Minister Rith emphasized the commendable efforts and achievements made over the past year. He acknowledged that both the campaign implementation mechanisms within the trial courts and the prosecution organizations have worked diligently, resulting in considerable successes that merit recognition. Rith expressed his appreciation for the dedication of all parties involved, including judges, prosecutors, clerks, and bailiffs, who took ownership of their roles, particularly in addressing priority issues such as civil status cases, traffic violations, drug offenses, and gang-related crimes.

Furthermore, the Deputy Prime Minister urged all stakeholders to sustain their commitment to resolving citizen complaints and intervention requests, with the goal of enhancing justice services and overall quality of justice.

As part of the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Rith presented incentive awards to several courts and prosecution organizations that demonstrated exceptional support for the campaigns.
